Religious Education
Religious Education Intent
As a Church of England school we aim to provide a rich and varied RE curriculum that enables learners to acquire and develop knowledge and understanding of Christianity, Hinduism and world views. Our pupils will develop the ability to make reasoned and informed judgements about religious and moral issues which enhance their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.
We encourage our pupils to ask questions about the world and reflect on their own beliefs, values and experiences. We support our children to develop an appreciation of the world in which they live and to reflect upon their responsibility towards it. Our pupils will be able to develop positive attitudes of respect towards other people who hold views and beliefs different from their own, and towards a society of diverse religions and beliefs.
