Welcome to EYFS
At Lymington C of E Infant School we provide an ambitious Early Years curriculum which is designed around the Educational Programmes and the Seven Areas of Learning provided by the Early Years Foundation Stage. We deliver a broad and well balanced curriculum which will enable each child to develop personally, socially, emotionally, spiritually, physically, creatively and intellectually to their full potential.

At Lymington Infant school we have three curriculum aspirations that we have created in response to our individual children and the context of our school. Our curriculum aspirations are unique to our school and reflect our vision and values.

We believe every child can be successful when they are supported to develop and learn in a nurturing, happy and safe environment. Our children have access to high quality indoor and outdoor environments which allows for free flow play throughout the day. Learning takes place in many forms. We teach whole class, small group and one to one sessions alongside highly valuable play based learning.
At Lymington C of E Infant school we value the endless opportunities afforded to us by the outdoor environment. We believe the outdoors offers our children real-world learning opportunities which enable deeper levels of involvement and hands on opportunities for problem-solving alongside the development of critical thinking. Our Shared Patio, Wild Wood, Big Patio and Pond areas offer our children endless opportunities to explore!
Throughout the year we offer our children a wealth of opportunities and experiences to build their knowledge and understanding of the world around them. From visits to the local farm, library, post office, fire station to welcoming visitors including Police Officers, Fire Fighters, Dentists, Vets, Artists, and Scientists. We utilise every opportunity to build our children’s appreciation and understanding of the world.
